The Hardik Pandya and Mumbai Indians saga seems to be never ending as new reports have come out claiming that the 5-time champions paid a whopping sum of INR 100 Crores to Gujarat Titans apart from the all cash deal which took place ahead of the IPL Auction 2024.
If the reports are found out to be true later on, Mumbai Indians could possibly face some consequences from the BCCI which have financial restrictions in place for all the signings that take place in the league.
Teams are specifically provided a team purse which is not allowed to be crossed in the auction. Mumbai Indians also bought lethal pacers like Gerald Coetzee and Dilshan Madhushanka to partner Jasprit Bumrah in the bowling attack.

With Hardik Pandya being named as the new Mumbai Indians captain just days after the transfer took place, Rohit Sharma fans were seen flooding the internet as they expressed their disappointment on Mumbai’s decision to remove the Hitman as the team captain.
Hardik Pandya is currently nursing an ankle injury which he sustained during Team India’s ODI World Cup 2023 clash against Bangladesh.
While the earlier assessment of the injury indicated that the 30-year-old would probably miss out on the IPL 2024 season which came as a huge shock to Mumbai Indians.
However, Hardik Pandya will not just be available for the IPL season, but can also be back in time for Team India’s T20I series against Afghanistan.
