CSK Post Average Total vs LSG
Batting first, Chennai Super Kings didn’t have an ideal beginning as opener Rachin Ravindra was dismissed for zero by a brilliant delivery from Mohsin Khan in the second over. Although his opening partner Ajinkya Rahane started his innings well, he was eventually dismissed for 36 runs.

Power hitters Shivam Dube and Samir Rizvi also failed to leave a mark in the game, falling quickly to LSG bowlers. Ravindra Jadeja then played a crucial role in helping CSK accumulate some much-needed runs with his unbeaten 57 off 40 balls.
Krunal Pandya played a vital role for LSG in the middle overs, taking 2 wickets during his spell. The pacers also bowled effectively, keeping the visitors’ scoring rate in check.
Moeen Ali complemented Jadeja’s resilient fifty with a 30-run contribution, including some maximums. Together, they forged a 50-run partnership at Ekana, aiding Chennai in posting a competitive total.
The crowd eagerly awaited the entry of MS Dhoni, who arrived with two overs remaining. Dhoni showcased his prowess by hitting a boundary and a six from his first three balls, demonstrating his fine form once again. His quickfire unbeaten 28-run cameo propelled the visitors to 176/6, which appeared to be a solid total on the given pitch.
LSG Go Level With Chennai
Chasing 177, LSG openers Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul understood the assignment and kept piling the pressure on CSK bowlers as the hosts remained without any loss of wickets till the 15th over. While Quinton de Kock scored 54, his skipper KL Rahul also contributed with a brilliant 82 which made sure that LSG took home the 2 points quite comfortably on the night.
It was Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis who finally took LSG over the finish line to remove the nervous tension from the stadium.
Chennai were not at their best with both bat and ball which saw them falling to their 3rd loss in the tournament. The win got LSG level on points with their opponents in 3rd place and saw a big boost in their net run rate as well.
