Opting to bat first, Lucknow’s innings didn’t commence on a promising note as opener Quinton de Kock was dismissed cheaply for just 6 runs by an Umesh Yadav delivery.
Captain KL Rahul steadied the innings with a composed 33 runs but was later dismissed in the 13th over. Marcus Stoinis emerged as the top scorer for the Super Giants, contributing 58 runs.

Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni also chipped in with valuable cameos, scoring 32* and 20 runs respectively. However, despite their efforts, the hosts could only muster a total of 163/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
Umesh Yadav and Darshan Nalkande impressed with the ball, claiming 2 wickets each, as Gujarat Titans aimed to return to winning ways in the Indian Premier League.

In reply, Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudharshan started the chase with a 23-ball 31. His opening partner and skipper Shubman Gill, however, failed to make a mark as he got sent back to the pavilion for just 19 on the night.
Kane Williamson too failed to perform in his 2nd match back with the team as he was dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi. Krunal Pandya and Yash Thakur starred with the ball for the hosts as they ended up with 3 and 4 scalps respectively in their 4 overs.
For Gujarat, it was a forgettable night with the bat as Sai Sudharshan’s 31 turned out to be the top score among GT batters. Lucknow got themselves their 3rd win of the season in front of a packed Ekana crowd.
