Teams taking part in the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) have taken out the list for their replacements after several players opted out from the tournament. Some players have also been ruled out of the tournament which left many teams looking out for quick replacements for them as well. Teams like Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals faced a lot of trouble with more than one player unavailable ahead of the season.

Chennai Super Kings – Devon Conway, Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube
Delhi Capitals – Harry Brook opts out, Lungi Ngidi injured
Gujarat Titans – Shami ruled out, Robin Minz injured but with team
Lucknow Super Giants – Mark Wood opts out
Mumbai Indians – Jason Behrendorff, Madhushanka, Suryakumar Yadav injured
Kolkata Knight Riders – Jason Roy, Gus Atkinson injured
Replacements So Far

Mumbai Indians – Luke Wood
Kolkata Knight Riders – Phil Salt
Defending champions Chennai Super Kings are looking like the team which has suffered the most because of injuries so far, having lost 3 players and not made any replacements so far. MS Dhoni and co. would have to consider the squad depth in terms of defending their title as a long tournament like this, will require a good squad depth if they are to go all the way in the tournament.
