Two matches of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) have been revised due to Ram Navami. Kolkata Knight Riders’ home game against the Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans’ clash against the Delhi Capitals have been moved to a new date now.
KKR Vs RR and GT Vs DC have been rescheduled.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the new dates on which both these games will be played now. While KKR vs RR will take place on 16th April (Originally on 17th), Delhi’s tie with Gujarat will be played on 17th April (Originally on 16th).
Reason Of Rescheduling
Amid security concerns related to the Ram Navami festival, there were indications that the KKR vs RR match might be rescheduled. Subsequently, the GT vs DC match was moved a day earlier to maintain the momentum of the competition.
As of now, RR and KKR lead the table in IPL 2024, having won three and two matches respectively, maintaining their unbeaten records. Meanwhile, GT has won two out of three games, while DC has secured victory in one out of three matches in the current season.
The second phase of the IPL season, comprising 52 matches along with playoffs, commences on April 8. The opening match will be held in Chennai, where CSK will host Kolkata Knight Riders. Playoff matches are scheduled to take place in the evening, adhering to the regular timetable.
After 12 years, Chennai is set to host the IPL final on May 26. The M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, which is the home ground of the Chennai Super Kings. Chepauk has previously hosted the IPL final twice, in 2011 and 2012.
