IPL 2024: CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja played a prank on fans at the Chepauk Stadium by pretending to walk out to bat ahead of MS Dhoni during their clash against KKR. Despite stepping out with his bat, Jadeja eventually let Dhoni take the field to bat. CSK went on to win the match by 7 wickets, handing KKR their first loss of the season.

In a viral video, Jadeja can be seen preparing to bat after Shivam Dube’s dismissal but retreats after a few steps, allowing Dhoni to enter amidst cheers from the crowd. Dhoni, however, faced only three balls and scored a single run.
CSK vs KKR: MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
Choosing to bowl first after winning the toss, CSK started strongly with Tushar Deshpande dismissing Phil Salt off the first ball. Despite a 56-run partnership between Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghvanshi, Jadeja’s double wicket over saw the end of their stand.
KKR’s innings saw contributions from Shreyas Iyer and Rinku Singh, but no other batter provided substantial support. CSK bowlers, led by Jadeja and Deshpande with three wickets each, restricted KKR to 137 for 9.

In the second innings, Rachin Ravindra’s promising start was cut short by Vaibhav Arora after he scored 15 runs. Daryl Mitchell added a quick 25 runs off 19 balls before falling to Narine. Despite some minor setbacks, CSK comfortably chased down the target, securing a convincing victory over KKR.
