Following their convincing victory over the defending IPL champions on April 5, Friday, a video capturing an SRH fan silencing CSK supporters has gained widespread attention. With lots of attention being directed towards the battle between world cup winning skipper Pat Cummins and former Indian captain MS Dhoni ahead of the tie, fans were taking to their social media claiming Dhoni would get Team India’s revenge and shush the likes of Pat Cummins in Hyderabad.

However, CSK’s defeat saw some SRH fans reacting inappropriately in front of the away supporters, shushing them in the stands.
SRH secured their second consecutive win in Hyderabad, thanks to stellar bowling in the final overs that restricted CSK to a total of 165 runs in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma’s explosive 37 off 12 balls laid the groundwork for the chase before Travis Head and Aiden Markram took charge.
Markram registered his first half-century of the IPL 2024 season, guiding SRH to a 6-wicket victory. This prompted a jubilant celebration from an SRH supporter in the stands, who was depicted in a banner as a cartoon Hyderabad fan shushing the CSK lion. The same gesture was then replicated towards the CSK fans, who were left speechless by SRH’s dominant performance with the bat.
With this win, SunRisers Hyderabad climbed to fifth place in the IPL points table, surpassing both PBKS and GT. Despite suffering their second consecutive loss, CSK maintained their position in third place, albeit with a dent in their net run rate.
