Rishabh Pant Fires DC To 224/4
Batting first, DC’s opening duo of Prithvi Shaw and Jake Frazer McGurk struggled to provide a solid start in the powerplay as Gujarat’s bowlers claimed 3 wickets early on. Although McGurk’s quickfire 23 off 14 balls entertained the fans, it fell short of Delhi’s expectations, hoping for him to stay longer at the crease.

Captain Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel then stepped up to inject momentum into the innings, aiming to push DC towards a challenging total.
Gujarat’s bowler Sandeep Warrier emerged as the standout performer, picking up three wickets in the powerplay. Following this, Shubman Gill’s decision to introduce spin slowed down the run rate, courtesy of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed’s partnership.
Axar Patel’s aggressive fifty, combined with Pant’s unbeaten 88 off 43 balls, propelled Delhi to a competitive total of 224/4 at the end of their 20 overs.
DC Climb Above Gujarat
Chasing a challenging 225, GT skipper Shubman Gill departed early at just 6 runs courtesy of an Anrich Nortje delivery in the 2nd over. Wriddhiman Saha held his end and stitched up an 82-run partnership with impact substitute Sai Sudharshan to give Gujarat some genuine hope in the chase.
