Mustafizur To Return Home
However, there’s concerning news for CSK as their match-winning player Mustafizur Rahman will not be available after May 1. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has set a deadline as the national team is preparing to play a five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe at home from May 3. Rahman’s return to the team after May 1 seems uncertain due to Bangladesh’s participation in a T20 series against the United States before the T20 World Cup.
Mustafizur’s Availability
This series begins on May 21, while the IPL 2024 final is scheduled for May 26. Initially, Rahman was supposed to return to Bangladesh on April 30. However, upon CSK’s request, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has granted him a one-day No Objection Certificate (NOC). Therefore, he will be available for the match against Punjab Kings on April 1.
Rahman will then play matches against Lucknow Super Giants on April 19 and 23, against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 28, and against Punjab Kings on May 1 before returning to his country.
Regarding Mustafizur Rahman’s performance in IPL 2024, in the five matches played so far, he has taken 10 wickets with an average of 18.30 and an economy rate of 9.15. In the first match against RCB, he achieved four successes. After that, he succeeded against Gujarat Titans twice, against Delhi Capitals once, against Kolkata Knight Riders, and against Mumbai Indians.
