Kane Williamson As Replacement
Kane Williamson stepped in for Miller and contributed 26 runs from 22 deliveries, announcing the news during the mid-innings segment with the broadcaster.
Miller has been a key player for the franchise since joining them in 2022. In the previous match against SRH, he played a stellar innings, scoring 44 runs from 27 balls. Additionally, he contributed a brisk 21 from 16 deliveries against CSK.
Williamson discussed the team’s batting performance against Punjab, considering 199 as a competitive total. Gujarat reached a formidable score primarily due to Shubman Gill’s outstanding unbeaten 89 off just 48 balls.
Having secured two consecutive victories at home, Gujarat aims for their third win before hitting the road again. They defeated Mumbai and Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium, thanks to an exceptional bowling effort.
Apart from Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Rahul Tewatia also made valuable contributions with the bat, assisting Gujarat in posting a decent total on what appeared to be a batting-friendly surface in Ahmedabad.
