Australian cricketer Josh Hazlewood, who is expected to fetch a good amount of money in the upcoming IPL Auction 2024 will be missing the start of the season.
If the Australian pacer gets picked up by a franchise, Hazlewood will be going back home for at least 5 weeks as he is expecting the birth of his child around March.
According to reports, the 17th edition of Indian Premier League is scheduled to start from March 22 with Chennai Super Kings looking to defend their title.
Hazlewood has impressed for his national team in the recent ODI World Cup 2023 with the pacer picking up 16 wickets to his name.
Josh Hazlewood had missed some games for his former side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2023 as well.

“Everything is ticking along according to plan, so I’ll be heading over on the 14th (of April) depending on how the next two weeks go. I probably won’t be quite ready to go right then, but (after) another week in India to touch things up skill-wise, I should be ready to go hopefully.”
Teams will be coming into the auction with this information at hand and will probably think twice about axquiring the services of the Aussie pacer.
