With the Royal Challengers Bengaluru enjoying a great winning run in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) recently, they are up against a Rajasthan Royals side who are finding it difficult to win at the moment. However, their lethal bowling duo of Sandeep Sharma and Trent Boult are not to be taken lightly as they can outplay any batting order on any given day.

RCB Head Coach Andy Flower Cautious About RR Duo
Even RCB head coach Andy Flower is cautious about Rajasthan Royals’ seasoned bowling lineup as his team gears up for the Eliminator on Wednesday, May 22. The spirited Bengaluru side aims to continue their impressive run in the tournament. Flower mentioned that RR Bowlers, including Yuzvendra Chahal, R Ashwin, Trent Boult, and Sandeep Sharma, will pose a tough challenge against RCB batters.

“RR have played excellent cricket in this campaign. Yes they have tailed of a bit recently but they are a dangerous side. They are well led and they have some good cricket brains in their set up. So we are very excited to take them on,” Andy Flower said.
“We played a knockout game six games in a row and the boys have come out brilliantly. I think that stands us in really good stead. The battle between their bowling experience and our batting that has been firing in all cylinders will be interesting to watch. They have very experienced spinners, Boult and Sandeep and that will be a key battle,” Flower concluded.
The seasoned pair of Boult and Sharma have the skill to move the ball in the final overs, which could pose difficulties for key players like Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. Despite RR losing their last four matches, Flower acknowledged that they are a formidable and dangerous team.
Flower also highlighted that RCB, having needed to win every match in their last six games, is well-prepared for the knockout stage. He praised the team’s excellent performance in the second half of the tournament.
Rajasthan Royals will aim to overcome their recent slump, having not won any of their last five matches. They secured a spot in the playoffs thanks to a strong start to the season and will rely on their experienced players to perform in the crucial knockout game.
