New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have named New Zealand’s all-rounder Michael Bracewell for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2023). Bracewell, who went unsold in the auction last year has been called in as a replacement for England all-rounder Will Jacks.

Jacks- Most expensive player for RCB in auction
Will Jacks was the most expensive player for RCB in the IPL 2023 auction was ruled out due muscle injury. The Englishmen was due to represent the Bangalore franchise in the upcoming IPL campaign after being picked up for Rs 3.2 crore at the auction.
Bracewell’s T20 stats
The 24-year-old all-rounder has scored 2802 runs from 109 T20s at a strike-rate of 157.94 including one century and 23 half-centuries. The injury setback could also hamper his hopes of staking a claim for the Men’s ODI World Cup slated to be held later this year in India.
RCB to MI in tournament opener
RCB will kick off their IPL 2023 campaign against five-time champions Mumbai Indians on April 2. They will host MI at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This will be their first home fixture in four years.
