New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Marnus Stoinis played quick fired innings of 65 runs off 30 balls and kept his side in control over Royals Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the chase of 213 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday, April 10.

RCB brought Harshal Patel and Marcus Stoinis struck him for a six and followed it up with consecutive fours.

After that over from Harshal RCB’s skipper Faf du Plessis introduced Karn Sharma in the attack and he was welcomed by Marcus Stoinis with a six and a four. Stoinis then finished the over with another four as 16 runs came off his over.

Shahbaz Ahmed cames into the attack and Stoinis cleaned up a pitched delivery by the spinner for a six over the long-off fence. He then brought up his half-century with the maximum, he completed milestone in 25 balls. Stoinis finished the over with another six.

Double blow
Karn Sharma (Impact Substitute) came into the attack as Stoinis continued his carnage. He smashed the spinner for a six, tried to do the same again but ended up handling a catch to Shahbaz Ahmed at deep mid-wicket, who somehow managed to hold onto the ball. This broke the 76-run stand between KL Rahul and Stoinis as the latter fell for 65(30).
