Shami strikes first
GT’s pacer Mohammed Shami gave Gujarat their first breakthrough as he removed opener Prabhsimran Singh for a duck.
Gujarat’s prime new ball bowler took just two deliveries to bag his first wicket. Prabhsimran Singh, looking to flick the back of a length delivery, perfectly located Rashid Khan in the inner ring. A second straight duck for the Punjab opener.

Rashid Khan picks Matt Short
Apart from Shami, spinner Rashid Khan removed Short, Punjab’s highest runs scorer tonight.
Rashid has had enough of these Short puns and cleaned up the batter. Sends in a wrong’un and Short, while looking to swipe, has missed it entirely. The stumps behind him are in disarray.
