New Delhi: April 2, Chasing down the huge target and finishing off with the six. Virat Kohli repeat 2011 One Day International (ODI) World Cup final as MS Dhoni finished the game with six and sealed the WC for India.

Just like Dhoni, chase master Virat Kohli whipped Arshad Khan through deep square leg for four and then nailed on over long on for six. As simple as that, RCB superstar finishes match off in style for RCB. Royal Challengers defeated Mumbai Indians by 8-wickets at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.

Virat Kohli finishes off in style

Kohli, Du Plessis partnership

Chasing the target of 172, Virat Kohli along with skipper Faf du Plessis stitched the 148-runs stand. Both the chase-master outclassed the Mumbai Indians bowlers, and chased the target in just 16.2 overs, before Du Plessis was removed by Arshad Khan for 73(43).

Duck for Kartik

Cameron Green then packed Dinesh Karthik for 0, before Glenn Maxwell (12* off 3) joined the party. Kohli returned unbeaten on 82 off 49 balls, which include six 4s and five 6s.

Tilak Verma lone show for MI

Earlier, Tilak Verma staged a lone battle and guided Mumbai to 171/7 after being invited to bat first. The Mumbai batter chipped in with an unbeaten 84 off 46 balls and stitched crucial partnership with Nehal Wadhela (21 off 13) and Arshad Khan (15* off 9). He added a 50-run stand with Wadhela after Mumbai were reduced to 48/4 in 8.5 overs. He then added 48 in just 18 balls with Arshad to bail Mumbai out of trouble.
