New Delhi: With 50-runs partnership between Sri Lankan lad Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Shikhar Dhawan, KKR struck back at the host at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali. Varun Chakravarty and Umesh Yadav picked one wicket apiece and broke the strong partnership.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa played the crucial 50 runs knock after Prabhsimran Singh returned backed after quick 23 runs off 12 balls. The Sri Lankan batter departed after strucking a blazing fifty! Umesh Yadav removed for KKR after Rajapaksa holed out off a slower ball.

Chakravarthy shocks Dhawan with pace
Soon after that KKR took control over the game as captain Shikar Dhawan was the one who departed. Dhawan got beaten for pace after Chakravarthy fired in at 106kph! Varun has showed better control than most of his colleagues today.

New skipper for both teams
Both the teams will start fresh under the new skipper as PBKS Mayank Agarwal was let go this year in the auction and KKR had to make a forced change in captaincy as Shreyas Iyer was injured during the BGT series. Shikhar Dhawan is all set to lead PKBS and Nitish Rana will hold the command of KKR.
