New Delhi: England’s former captain Michael Vaughan shared his views on the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. In the curtain-raiser for the cash-rich league, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face Gujarat Titans on Friday. Meanwhile, Vaughan has already picked his favourite to lift the cup.
Michael Vaughan picks RR to lift the up
The 48-year-old former cricketer took on Twitter, Vaughan has made his bet of the season on last year’s runner-up and first-ever champions Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Taking on Twitter Vaughan wrote, “I thinks it’s going to be Rajasthan Royals (RR) year .. they will be lifting the trophy in late May.”

RR’s last year performance
Rajasthan Royals finished has the runner-up in the last year’s IPL 2022, where they lost to Gujarat Titans in the summit class by 7-wickets. Led-by Sanju Samson, Royals finished second on the league stage point table with 18 points. In total 14 played matches, RR registered 9 wins and 5 defeats.
RR dominates 2022 edition of IPL
England’s Jos Buttler was the highest run scorer in the previous year’s league, he won the orange cap by scoring 863 runs in 17 matches. Talking about the highest wicket taking bowler, RR owned this also. Yuzvendra Chahal was the highest wicket-taker in the 2022 edition. He bagged 27 wickets in 17 matches, and won the purple cap.
