New Delhi: Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma gave brilliant reply when he was asked about MS Dhoni’s retirement during the recently held pre-season press conference on Wednesday.
Speculation on Dhoni’s last IPL
While there is no official announcement yet on the matter, it seems Dhoni will retire after playing the final IPL 2023 season. MI’s skipper Rohit Sharma believe Dhoni is fit enough to play few more seasons.
Rohit respond on Dhoni’s question
During the press conference Rohit was asked to share his views on MS Dhoni’s retirement scuttlebutt. To which he replied, “I’ve been hearing for the last 2-3 years that this is going to be MS Dhoni’s last season. I think he is fit enough to play a few more seasons.”
Former India captain and wicketkeeper Dhoni is now 41 years of age and retired from international cricket back in 2020. He was replaced as CSK captain briefly by Ravindra Jadeja but returned to take up that role once again.
