Sandeep Sharma came to bowl the last over and Dhoni was on strike. And he started with a wide. Sharma delivered another wide. His next delivery was excellent as he got a dot ball. Got the next one very wrong as Dhoni hit a flat six. And another full toss and Dhoni had hit it for another 6. Chennai was very close. Needed 7 from 3. And that’s a single. It is not for Jadeja to finish this one off. Brilliant ball from Sandeep as Chennai needed a 6 now to finish. And a brilliant ball to end as Dhoni got a single and Rajasthan won.
Ashwin-Jadeja shine
Rajasthan spin duo Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal bagged 2 wickets each. Adam Zampa and Sandeep Sharma also scalped 1 wicket apiece.
CSK’s batting
The hosts lost in-form batter Ruturaj Gaikwad early for 8. Devon Conway alongside with Ajinkya Rahane stitched 68-runs for the second wicket.
