Avesh breaches IPL’s code of conduct
For this act LSG’s fast bowler Avesh Khan was rebuked for breaching the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) ‘Code of Conduct.’ The 26-year-old pacer admitted to the Level 1 offense on a day when RCB were fined for maintaining slow over-rate.
“Lucknow Super Giants’ Avesh Khan has been reprimanded for breaching the Code of Conduct. Mr Avesh admitted to level 1 offence 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” an IPL statement read.

RCB vs LSG recap
The Monday encounter at the Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, April 10 witnesses the one of the best thrilling encounter in the history of IPL. RCB reached the target of 212, courtesy to the fifties from Virat Kohli (61), captain Faf du Plessis (79*) and Glenn Maxwell (59).
In reply, LSG’s stunning 30-ball 65 from Marcus Stoinis and a sensational 19-ball 62 from Nicholas Pooran titled the balance in LSG’s favour. RCB struck back with late wickets and the game went to the final over. With a run needed off the final delivery, Avesh missed a straight one from Harshal Patel but Dinesh Karthik fumbling with the gloves allowed Harshal and his partner Ravi Bishnoi to complete a bye and seal the win.
FAF DU PLESSIS FINED RS 12 LAKH
Meanwhile, RCB captain Faf du Plessis was fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over-rate during LSG’s chase of 212. RCB missed the mark by an over and they paid the price by having only 4 fielders outside the 30-yard circle in the final over.

This was RCB’s first over-rate offense of IPL 2022.
The new rule came into effect in January 2022 forces the fielding team to have only 4 fielders outside the circle, instead of five for overs that are bowled after 85 minutes from the start of the innings.
