London: India is playing their third ODI against England and this is reportedly the last game of legendary bowler in blue t-shirt Jhulan Goswami.
The two teams are squaring off in the Lord’s for the final ODI, however, India has already won the series after marking victory in both the previous games.
After winning the toss, English women chose to bowl first and India would aim to put a high score just like the previous two games.
Wearing India Jersey in ultimate feeling – Jhulan Goswami
Before the start of the game, India bowler Jhulan said that wearing the Indian jersey was the ultimate feeling. “When I started, I never thought about playing for such a long time. It was a great experience that I’ve enjoyed and learnt from.”
Recalling her early days in the game, Goswami added, “Those days we used to represent the Women’s cricket association of India, and since 2006 we’ve been under the umbrella of the BCCI. It was a different feeling. I never thought about it… being from Chakdaha, coming back to train and everyday I was going two and half hours on a one way journey.”
Goswami says that the first over of her career was the most amazing feeling. “Do training, come back and then again the next morning I’d go. I think the best memories when I first represented India – getting my India cap from my captain was an amazing feeling and bowling that first over in my career – that was the most important moment in my life.”
