Cricket stars Shubman Gill and Gautam Gambhir, appointed as team India’s captain and head coach, respectively, led the way as the team traveled to England for the Test match series. On Sunday, the squad participated in a tough training session, which was their initial visit to the nets following their arrival in Europe. Rishabh Pant, a batsman known for his hard hitting, practiced a lot at Beckenham with other Indian players, preparing their skills for the red-ball game at Headingley.
Pant Scare In Nets As Blow To Arm Halts Training Briefly
On a worrying note, Pant almost got injured when he took a hit to his left arm during batting, according to RevSportz. The second the pitch hit him on the arm, the southpaw expressed strong pain and was treated by the team doctor with an ice pack. Some painful shots to the arm meant that Pant had his left arm wrapped and spent a while resting off the field at the end of training. However, the Indian team was lucky as the injury was not too serious, and the batter reassured everyone he was doing well as he left the field.
