The ILC tournament opened on Tuesday with a win by Indian Warriors over African Lions in the first game held in the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex. Indian Warriors’ batters stepped up to the plate to chase a tough 196 and impressed everyone. With 15 balls left, the team won thanks to Kedar Devdhar’s 60 off 39, Pawan Negi’s 57 off 28 and skipper Priyank Panchal’s 38 off 17. In the first six overs, the Warriors broke away with a stunning 67 runs. They got there having lost only one wicket, thanks to Shikhar Dhawan (24 off 20) and Panchal (67 off 75).
Early Jitters Overcome As Indian Warriors Cruise To Victory
There was a short scare when Negi and Devdhar lost two early wickets in the seventh over, but their steadying partnership helped bring a comfortable finish.

After the victory, Indian Warriors' captain Priyank Panchal expressed his thoughts, saying, “Happy with the win today. It was an amazing experience playing alongside Shikhar Dhawan, our partnership was too good. His approach with the game is very good and we can all learn from him.” In the first game of the night, African Lions showed good form, making 195/5 in 20 overs with Shekar Sirohi hitting a fast 65. It was Shivam Sharma who put on a late blitz with his 24 runs off only 14 balls making African Lions aim high.

ILC To Stream On Sony Ten 5 And FanCode With Double-Headers From May 28
The Intercontinental Legends Championship (ILC) involves 6 teams from different continents and is now availabe to watch on Sony Ten 5 and FanCode. The teams competing are African Lions, Trans Titans (Australia and New Zealand), Euro Gladiators, American Strikers, Asian Kings and Indian Warriors. Each of the six icon teams comes from a major region in the world. Double header games will begin on May 28 with Trans Trans Titans (Australia & New Zealand) vs American Strikers at 3:30 PM and the second between Asian Kings and Euro Gladiators at 7:30 PM. The league stage is wrapped up on June 3 and the semi-finals will take place on June 4 at 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM. The show’s final act will take place on June 5, starting at 7:30 PM. 100 Sports manages the League which was organised by MVP Quest Private Limited.
