In a previous match held on September 26, Abhishek Sharma’s thunderous approach led him to score his third consecutive T20I half-century. He became the fourth Indian to achieve this feat, after Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav. With just a few hours to go before the final, Abhishek has the chance to become the first Indian to score four consecutive 50s in T20Is.

Abhishek Sharma, with 309 runs, is the third-highest run-scorer in the T20 Asia Cup, behind Pathum Nissanka (434) and Virat Kohli (429). However, his strike rate of 204.63 is significantly higher than both.

Arshdeep Singh later became the first Indian to claim 100 T20I wickets, while Hardik Pandya is just two wickets away from joining the club. Pandya is set to return today after recovering from cramps suffered during India’s Super Over thriller against Sri Lanka.
