After a lean patch for a long time, Shubman Gill was seen in sublime form with fine batting technique and timing. Gill went on to smash 87 runs, missing a well deserved by just 13 runs. Gill’s knock included 14 boundaries.

Axar Patel too joined the chase party as he went on to score a stable fifty to take India home. He notched a partnership with Shubman Gill and ended up scoring 52 runs off 47 balls with 6 fours and a six to his name.
