India vs Bangladesh, 3rd T20I: India posted their highest-ever T20I score with a total of 297/6 in the third T20I against Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Saturday (October 12). Sanju Samson top-scored for Men in Blue as he scored his maiden T20I century in just 40 balls.
Samson scored 111 off 47 balls and hit 11 fours and eight sixes as he kept the Hyderabad crowd on the edge of their seats with his wide range of shots. Captain Suryakumar Yadav supported Samson well. Yadav played brilliant knock of 75 (35), hitting eight fours and five sixes.
Riyan Parag (34 off 13), Hardik Pandya (47 off 18) and Rinku Singh also contributed in the end as India posted their highest score in T20Is, surpassing their previous record of 261/3 against Sri Lanka in 2017. India finished their innings on a score of 297/6, recording the second-highest score in this format after Nepal’s 314 against Mongolia in 2023.

After electing to bat first, India lost opener Abhishek Sharma early in the innings when he was caught in the circle off Tanzim Hasan Sakib, leaving India at 23/1 after 2.1 overs. Samson and Suryakumar did not hold back after losing their opener and wreaked havoc on the Bangladesh bowlers, scoring 173 runs off just 70 balls.
After their dismissals, Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag also scored 70 runs off 26 balls for the fourth wicket. Riyan Parag ended the innings by beating Tanzim Hasan Sakib for maximum time.
