India vs West Indies: In the third T20, India defeated West Indies by 7 wickets. With this win, the Indian team has taken a 2-1 lead in the five-match T20I series.
Batting first, West Indies scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Indian team achieved the target in 19 overs for the loss of three wickets. Suryakumar Yadav was the highest scorer with 76 runs. He was adjudged the player of the match.
In the third match, the host team looked behind compared to the second match. In the match played yesterday, the hosts did not show impressive performance with the bat and ball. West Indies team captain Nicholas Pooran’s big statement has come out after the defeat at the hands of India. He spoke of a few runs short in the match. Apart from this, he has also mentioned about not taking wickets in the beginning.

After the match, West Indiues captain Pooran said, “I thought we had to take early wickets, but it did not happen. We thought the score was good. Indian bowlers bowled well. Hardik and Ashwin bowled well. He used the slow pitch well. Had we taken early wickets, maybe something else would have happened. We lost wickets in the middle overs. Building a partnership was important. We lost the match, but we did a lot of things right. We were 10-15 runs short. Had I got early wickets, the game could have changed.”

After winning the toss in the third T20 match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma invited West Indies to bat first. Batting first, the Caribbean team scored 164 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs, in response, the Indian team achieved the target in 19 overs for the loss of three wickets.
