India won silver in the men's eight event with a time of 5: 43.01 seconds. China won the gold medal and Indonesia won the bronze medal.

New Delhi: The Indian teams are all set to take on its competitors in the Asian Games 2023, which kickstarted on September 24.  The host China has organised the grand tournament in Hangzhou at its Esports Centre from September 24 to 27.

Some 36 players who will be representing 22 teams will fight for the titles that be given to them at the inaugural inaugural Asian Games champion in EA Sports FC Online.

Shooting: Women 10m Air Rifle Final begins

India’s Ramita started with a 10.5 whereas Mehuli was at a 10.0. Following the completion of the first stage of 10 shots, Huang Yuting from China led with a score of 105.3.

After that, Ramita and two other shooters were tied for second place while, Mehuli was sixth. Now onwards, one shooter will get evicted after every two shots.

Taipei’s Chen Chi from China was the the first one to leave the final.

In the Changquan men's final, India's Suraj Singh Mayanglambam and Anjul Namdeo ended up at fifth and sixth respectively.

India At Asian Games 2023, Day 1: India's Women Team Lost To Thailand In Table Tennis

The Indian women's team was eliminated in the Round of 16 after losing 2-3 to Thailand. Manika Batra lost both the women's singles events while Ayhika Mukherjee won one and was defeated in the other.

Sutirtha Mukherjee, who played only one rubber, won the match 3-2. The final score was 2-2 at the end of the first four games and Manika had to take India to the next round, but she lost 12-10, 8-11, 7-11, 6-11 to Suthasini Sawettabut .

India vs Thailand: Ayhika Mukherjee of India lost to Orawan Paranang 12-10, 4-11, 11-5, 4-11, 3-11. The match will pit Manika Batra against Suthasini Sawetta but the winner will advance to the quarter-finals in this 2-2 draw.

Bronze For India: Ramita bags Bronze, Mehuli ends at fourth place

With a total score of 230.1, Ramita won the bronze medal. Huang Yuting won 1-2 With 252.7, breaking the previous Asian Games record. Silver medalist Han Jiayu scored a total score of 251.3.
