Weather Forecast
On Thursday, September 5, being the opening day of the match, Bengaluru can expect an overcast start in the morning that will slowly clear up to a brighter sky. The temperatures will hover between 28°C in the day and 20°C at night. Besides, the wind speed will be 20 km/h during the whole day.
Pitch Report
The upcoming Test at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium can turn out to be good for red-ball cricket. The last outing at this venue was back in 2022 when India and Sri Lanka clashed; India managed more than 250 runs in both innings while Sri Lanka fought and lost the match by 238 runs. Traditionally, this pitch is quite flat, but given that some rain could descend, some moisture could well be there. That should help the pace bowlers in the first couple of days. But come Day 3, the conditions could very easily turn spinner-friendly, making things interesting.
