A poor display of batting led India to loss the first One Day International (ODI), Deepti Sharma (20) was the highest run-gather for India.

Amanjot Kaur picks up 4-wicket haul

After winning the toss, India’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur elected to bowl first, right-arm pacer Amanjot Kaur had a dream debut against Bangladesh women as she grabbed four-wicket haul to restrict the hosts to 152 in a rain-shortened match.

Chasing the comfortable target, India crumbled against the Bangladesh. Marufa Akter picked up four wickets for Bangladesh, giving away 29 runs. Nigar Sultana was the highest run-getter for the home team at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, scoring 39 and sharing a crucial 49-run partnership with Fargana Hoque (27).
