New Delhi: India women won the second One Day International (ODI) by 108 runs against Bangladesh on Wednesday, July 19 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. Along with this, India equalized 1-1 in the three-match series.

Jemimah Rodrigues got Marufa Akhtar caught by Smriti Mandhana to end Bangladesh’s innings. Marufa returned to the pavilion after scoring just one run. With this, India won the match by 108 runs.

IND W vs BAN W: Jemimah‘s all-round performance
Invited to bat first, India scored 228 runs. Jemimah played a crucial 86 run knock, along with captain Harmanpreet, who scored 52 runs. The 22-year-old became the first Indian women to score half-century and took 4-wicket haul in same match. Sultana and Nahida took two wickets each for Bangladesh.

IND W vs BAN W: Bangladesh batting collapse
In response, the Bangladesh team could only score 120 runs. Fargana Haq contributed 47 and Ritu Moni contributed 27 runs. Apart from these two, only Murshida Khatoon (12 runs) could touch double figures.
Chasing 229, Bangladesh were 106 for three at one stage and remained in the match. However, after that, seven wickets of the team fell in scoring 14 runs and India got big. Jemimah Rodrigues took the maximum four wickets for India. Devika Vaidya got three wickets.
With the win in this match, the Indian team equalized 1-1 in the three-match series and avenged the humiliating defeat in the last match.
