IND Vs SL: Rinku-Surya Magic Turns The Tide, India Triumphs Over Sri Lanka

IND Vs SL: Team India achieved a stunning victory in the third T20 match against Sri Lanka on Tuesday in Pallekele. During the game, Indian cricket fans witnessed something they had never seen before: captain Suryakumar Yadav bowled the last over and took two consecutive wickets. This was the first time experience for SKY to bowl for T20 and fans were thrilled to see him grabbing the first wicket. His captaincy also received praise as he wisely gave the 19th over to Rinku Singh, who performed well.

Rinku Singh took Sri Lanka’s crucial wicket on the second ball of the 19th over, dismissing Kusal Perera for 46 runs by catching his own ball. Then, on the fourth ball of the same over, he sent Ramesh Mendis back to the pavilion. Mendis, attempting a big shot, was caught near the boundary by Shubman Gill. These two key wickets helped Team India make a comeback in the match, but tension rose again during the last over.

What happened in the IND vs SL match

Team India’s bowlers Khalil Ahmed and Mohammad Siraj each had one over left, sparking a discussion on who would bowl the last over. Ultimately, Suryakumar Yadav decided to bowl it himself, surprising the fans. Surya took Kamindu Mendis’s wicket on his second ball, with Rinku Singh making the catch. On the next ball, Surya bowled out Mahish Theekshana, caught by Sanju Samson.

Surya successfully defended 8 runs in the last over, leading to a tie as Sri Lanka matched India’s 137 runs. The match went to a super over, where Sri Lanka lost two wickets for just 2 runs. Suryakumar Yadav then secured India’s victory by hitting a four on the first ball.
