IND vs SA: Will Shubman Gill not play in 2nd Test? BCCI secretary provides…

Shubman Gill is set to travel with Team India to Guwahati after a neck strain, with a playing decision pending.

Shubman Gill Injury Update: India’s captain Shubman Gill is set to be back after that neck strain in the first Test. The BCCI just shared some good news about him. He’s traveling with the squad to Guwahati for the second Test, but they’ll decide if he plays right before the match.

Gill hurt his neck after just three balls in the first Test, which forced him off the field. He couldn’t bat again in that innings or in the second one either, so India missed him, and it definitely hurt their chances.

The BCCI says the injury isn’t serious. Their medical team is keeping a close watch, and they’ve told him to wear a neck collar, just to be careful, while he’s on the move.

Honestly, Gill’s been in great touch lately. He piled on the runs against England and smashed a century against the West Indies. Right now, he’s one of India’s most reliable batters in Test cricket.

The team heads to Guwahati on November 19. Everyone’s watching Gill and hoping he’s fit enough to play. If he is, he’ll be looking to pick up right where he left off.
