However, with the king back in the training camp, he was seen sweating it out in the nets as he prepares to take on the challenging Protea bowlers in the red ball series.

Virat will be returning back to action for the first time since the ODI World Cup final with both skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli asking for a break from the white ball leg of the series against South Africa.

Virat Kohli also expressed his views on returning back to action for Team India and that too in his favourite Test format. Virat Kohli has time and again said that Test cricket is more special for him from white ball formats.

The 35-year-old will be taking the pitch after a sensational ODI World Cup campaign  which saw him taking home the Player of the Tournament as well. Virat was the leading run getter in the quadrennial tournament and scored an impressive 765 runs.

Team India have never won a Test series against South Africa and will be attempting to make history in Johannesburg this time round.
