IND-SA T20I Series: India has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming four-match T20I series against South Africa, commencing on November 8 in Durban. The selection includes all-rounder Ramandeep Singh and pacer Vijaykumar Vyshak, both looking to make their mark on the international stage.

Missing From The Squad
Cricketing break to prepare for Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Missing from the tour are players who appeared in the recently concluded T20I series against Bangladesh. They are Harshit Rana, Washington Sundar, and Nitish Reddy. Those missing from the existing squad are spin-bowling allrounder Axar Patel, and fast bowlers Yash Dayal and Avesh Khan.
Injuries And Players Unavailable
Mayank Yadav and Shivam Dube, along with Riyan Parag, were omitted from this one. He had been under treatment for the chronic shoulder injury at the BCCI Centre of Excellence where he remains to date.
Mayank, who grabbed many headlines during the Indian Premier League 2024 before eventually stepping into the shoes of a debut for India in the Gwalior T20I against Bangladesh, has once again been ruled out because he hasn’t fully recovered from his previous injury. Dube too is recovering after being rested out of the Bangladesh series due to a back complaint.
Rising Stars: Ramandeep Singh And Vijaykumar Vyshak
Ramandeep Singh has been one of the standout performers for Punjab and played a crucial role in the Kolkata Knight Riders making it to the final as title winners of IPL 2024. He, at the Emerging T20 Asia Cup with India A, has been hailed highly for his brilliance on the field. He has T20 cricket under his belt where he averages more than 23 while having a strike rate of more than 168.
Unhyphenated Vijaykumar Vyshak from Karnataka is known for this quality of bowling though uncapped, and has given enough proof over two IPL seasons with the Royal Challengers Bangalore. So far 42 wickets from 30 T20 games at an average of 20.88 and an economy rate of 8.29.
