New Delhi: South Africa, which came first to bat after winning the toss, has put a target of 279 in 50 overs. Now the host has to make 279 runs to win this game which is being played at Ranchi.
Keshav Maharaj, the team’s captain, won the toss and decided to bat first in the second ODI in Ranchi without Temba Bavuma. All-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has been given his ODI debut by India, and Washington Sundar is also making his comeback following a protracted injury absence.

Aiden Markram’s scored 79 runs in 89 balls. Reeza Hendricks scored 74 runs in 76 balls. Opting to bat first, South Africa did not have a good start. In the third over, Mohammad Siraj sent star batsman Quinton de Kock clean bowled to the pavilion. Mohammad Siraj is the highest wicket taker with 3 wickets for India.
