New Delhi: South Africa has given 107 as target to India in the first T20I despite the early dismissals of the top and middle order. By end of 3 overs, SA had lost 5 wickets, 3 out of this came in second over itself.

Only three African batters could score in double digits as the attack of the hosts didn’t let most of players stay on crease for long.

Keshav Maharaj steadied the innings

However, Keshav Maharaj did what South African batters could not do. Facing Indian bowlers for 35 balls and scoring 41 runs was the moment, the visitors got their feet strong in the game. Aiden Markram and Wayne Parnell contributed with 25 and 24 runs respectively. 

On the Indian side, Deepak Chahar and Harshal Patel scalped two wickets each while Arshdeep became star of the show. 

Heroics of Arshdeep Singh

India bowler Arshdeep Singh thrashed the visitors by taking 3 wickets in just one over. India is fighting the first T20I against South Africa and the visitors have been blow away by the Indian bowlers.
