With the Boxing day Test being played between India and South Africa, the match toss was delayed due to the wet patches on the outfield.

The much anticipated 2-match Test series between the two sides will feature the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah for the first time since the ODI World Cup 2023.

However, there’s a good chance that the trio won’t be seen into action for a long period of time with the weather reports suggesting multiple periods of rain throughout the first Test.

Day 1

The Centurion weather reports on Boxing Day suggests that there is a 63% chance of rain in the afternoon.

Day 2 and Day 3

With Day 2 having a 86% chance of precipitation, play could be seen interrupted with rain.

Day 3 and 4 could provide some relief with the chances decreasing to 55%. However, rain could turn out to be the major talking point of the first Test in the end.

India seeking Maiden Series Win

With Team India seeking their first ever Test series win on South African soil, Rohit Sharma and co. would be looking forward to win the 1st Test and approach the series with a fresh mindset in order to complete the checklist against The Proteas.
