Ranchi: After facing a 9 runs defeat against South Africa, Team India has touched down the city of Ranchi to play the second ODI. As the Men in Blue reached the city of legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, fans welcomed them on airport with music, dance and tilak.

Shikhar Dhawan and the squad looked refreshed and rejuvenated despite the defeat in Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. India would now aim to make a comeback in the series as losing another game would mean losing the series.

The team was seen in a training session on Saturday ahead of the 2nd ODI in JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi.

South Africa too dominant for India in first ODI
The visitors put 249 runs on board in their innings of 40 overs. Quinton de Kock scored 48 runs while Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller made unbeaten 74 and 75 runs respectively.
Team India came on the ground to chase the target of 250 runs and did not have a good start as they lost early wickets of the openers. Shikhar Dhawan (4) and Subhuman Gill (3) departed early within 5 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad then followed the openers for 19 runs. Ishan Kishan came on the field but couldn’t make more than 20 runs.
