New Delhi: India defeated South Africa by 16 runs in the second Twenty20 International on Sunday at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Despite David Miller’s unbroken 106 off 47 balls, South Africa was stopped at 221 for 3 in 20 overs while attempting to reach the 238-run target.
Quinton de Kock, on the other hand, hit 69 not out off 48. Earlier, India produced a massive total of 237/3 in 20 overs because of strong scores from Suryakumar Yadav (61 off 22 balls) and KL Rahul (57 off 28 balls). In the run-fest, which saw both teams score a combined total of over 450 runs, Virat Kohli hit 49 not out off of 28 balls. Temba Bavuma, the captain of South Africa, chose to bowl first against India after winning the toss.

In the second T20 match of the 3-match series of T20, India made 237 runs with the loss of 3 wickets batting first. South Africa, which won the toss and invited India to bat first, now has to make 238 runs in 20 overs to win this game.
Team India’s opener KL Rahul, who came out to bat after losing the toss, played stormy innings of 57 runs in 28 balls. KL Rahul targeted every South African bowler. He hit 4 classic sixes, while 5 brilliant fours also came off his bat.

KL Rahul hit a flick six off Wayne Pernell on the first ball of the fourth over, which shocked the bowler. Rahul hits this six often. The beauty with which Rahul hits such a six, no other batsman can hit.
Apart from KL Rahul, opener Rohit Sharma also played tremendous innings of 43 runs. He hit 1 six and hit 7 fours. Keshav Maharaj dismissed both these batsmen.
