The Indian pacers started Day 2 right where they left off the previous day as Jasprit Bumrah bagged his 3rd 5-wicket haul in South Africa to take Team India close to the win against The Proteas.
Jasprit Bumrah has often led the Indian bowling attack by example and is doing nothing different this time round with the 30-year-old picking up a total of 7 wickets in the 2nd Test so far.
With Siraj demolishing the South Africa batting lineup on Day 1 with 6 wickets, Bumrah is well on track to do the same today and restrict the home side to back-to-back low totals in the match.

Despite India’s strong position at 153 for four, in response, a dramatic collapse unfolded on Day 1, resulting in the loss of six wickets without adding any further runs—an unprecedented event in Test cricket history.

Aiden Markram, standing unbeaten at 36, and David Bedingham, with 7 runs, started Day 2 on the wrong foot with Jasprit Bumrah taking the wicket in his very first over which was followed by a Bumrah masterclass. Bumrah managed to take the next 3 scalps within 8 overs to bring India in a strong position in the Cape Town Test.
South African batter Aiden Markram however, managed to score a valiant century on a pitch where no player could even reach 50 runs. He completed his ton in an impressive 99 deliveries as well. His 17 fours and 2 sixes is proof of how special the innings was.
