The India national cricket team achieved a sensational win over South Africa in the fourth T20I match and clinched the series by 3-1. The Indian team showcased a brilliant performance and ended up on the winning side by a margin of 135 runs. Indian batters Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma slammed brilliant hundreds whereas the bowlers dug the grave for the South African batters. The Indian team had a sensational 2024 in the T20I and they were able to win 24 out of 26 games and maintained a win percentage of 92.70. The Indian team broke Pakistan’s previous record of 76.90 which they achieved in the year 2021 and won 20 games out of 29 matches.

The Indian team which is going through a transition had a memorable 2024 in the shortest international format. The ‘Men in Blue’ lifted the T20 World Cup 2024 title after gap of more than 17 years and it also marked the departure of greats such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja from the T20I format. The Suryakumar Yadav led side since then has come out on top and the current lot of players have proved that the future of Indian cricket is in wise hands.
Team India has come up among the top brands in the T20I format and their approach during the IND vs SA 2024 T20I series was an example how the modern-day T20I cricket should be played. The Indian team didn’t have the best of times in the T20I format in the past few years and at one point wasn’t among the dangerous sides in the shortest international format.
