Sufiyan Muqeem to Suryakumar Yadav, SIX, to deep mid-wicket
India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Live Score: It was billed as the biggest clash of the tournament, but it turned out to be a one-sided affair. India delivered a clinical all-round performance to comfortably beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in their Asia Cup 2025 encounter at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. While tensions simmered off the field, on it, the gulf between the two teams was more obvious than ever.
India notch up an effortless win ✌️
The 🇮🇳 contingent offered little to nothing with ball & bat, dominating all three facets of the game to record a thumping win over their arch rivals.#INDvPAK #DPWorldAsiaCup2025 #ACC pic.twitter.com/LUWFZAJ0tm---Advertisement---— AsianCricketCouncil (@ACCMedia1) September 14, 2025
A Frosty Start Sets the Mood
The match began on a tense note, with no post-toss handshake between captains Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha, and ended in similar fashion as the players walked off without exchanging the usual pleasantries. Emotions were clearly running high but once the cricket began, India let their performance do all the talking.

Abhishek Sharma Wastes No Time
Chasing 128 was always going to be a straightforward task and Abhishek Sharma made sure India got off to a flying start. Facing the fearsome Shaheen Shah Afridi, the young left-hander charged down the pitch on the very first ball and smoked it straight down the ground for four. The message was loud and clear: India weren’t here to tiptoe around.
Though India lost three wickets, all to an inspired spell from part-timer Saim Ayub, the outcome was never in doubt. The batting unit remained unfazed, rotating strike smartly and dispatching bad deliveries with ease.
Pakistan’s Bowling Lacks Bite
Pakistan’s spin trio – Abrar Ahmed, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Mohammad Nawaz were expected to challenge India on a turning track. But compared to their Indian counterparts, they looked ineffective and undercooked. There was little control, no pressure, and a visible lack of penetration.
In contrast, India’s spinners were a class apart. Earlier in the evening, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakravarthy tied Pakistan in knots, turning the screws from the Powerplay all the way to the death overs. The result? A sub-par total of 127/9 – never going to be enough against a batting unit as confident as India’s.
