IND vs PAK: World-famous rapper Drake has once again come up with a massive bet on a cricket match. The first time it was in the IPL final, this time he has placed a whopping Rs 5 Crore rupees on the iconic India vs Pakistan clash in the T20 World Cup 2024. Drake has placed his bets on Team India, who are the on-paper favourites to win the encounter being held in New York at the Nassau County International Stadium on June 9.

IND vs PAK Goes Global
The India vs Pakistan cricket fever isn’t limited to Asians, as the T20 World Cup excitement has reached celebrities in Canada as well. With the tournament being held in the USA and West Indies this year, the International Cricket Council aims to attract a diverse audience. Canadian rapper and singer Drake recently revealed in a now-expired Instagram story that he has placed a bet of Rs. 5 crores on the Indian team. “We are 1 for 1 on cricket bets. Let’s start the run,” he captioned the post.
This isn’t Drake’s first cricket bet. Previously, he reportedly won Rs. 3.73 crore from betting on the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League final. According to Mashable India, the rapper had bet $250,000 on Shah Rukh Khan’s team, earning a profit of Rs. 1.7 crore from the wager.
India’s record in the T20 World Cup matches against Pakistan has been quite impressive with the Men in Blue winning 6 out of the 7 matches they played over the years.
It will be interesting to see whether Drake’s bet turns out to be fortunate for him or not as arch-rivals India and Pakistan take the pitch in front of a packed crowd in New York tonight.
