Pakistan Cricket Team defeated India in the third match of the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 played at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. The Indian team wasn’t able to chase down the given target of 282 runs and got wrapped up for a score of 238 runs. Pakistan cricketer Shahzaib Khan was adjudged as the Player of the Match, who played an innings of 159 runs from 147 balls, later the Indian batters fell in the trap of Pakistani bowlers including Ali Raza, Abdul Subhan and Faham-ul-Haq.

Pakistan Defeat India By 43 Runs
Batting first, Pakistan openers Shahzaib Khan and Usman Khan put up a stand of 160 runs from 184 balls for the first wicket, which built a strong foundation for the team to reach a big first innings score. Usman was dismissed for 60 runs and was followed by a quick wicket of Haroon Arshad. However, Shahzaib wasn’t affected by two quick fall of wickets and added 71 runs from 68 balls for the third wicket along with Muhammad Riazullah. The Pakistani opener completed a well deserved century. After Riazullah got out, the Pakistani team faced a collapse and at the end, ended their first innings at a score of 281/7. India’s Samarth Nagaraj was the most successful bowler with a three-wicket haul.
Chasing down the target, Team India didn’t start of well losing Vaibhav Suryavanshi for just 1 run. The Pakistani team took wickets in different intervals of the innings which never really allowed the Indian team to build a momentum while chasing down the target. Nikhil Kumar showcased some grace by playing an innings of 67 runs from 77 balls, but at the end, the target of 282 runs proved to be big enough for the Indian team and they ended up losing the match by a margin of 43 runs.
