Unrelenting Weather Conditions

Constant light and heavy drizzle all day kept even the Sub-Air drainage system, draining up to 10,000 liters of water per minute, from working its magic. Rescheduled for 8:45 Thursday morning, hopefully to play at 9:15 AM, weather permitting.

Preparations For The Pitch In Rain

Following the suspension announcement, the rain ceased to allow some brief periods of sunshine and clear the ground for removing the pitch covers for the first time. Technical work was then undertaken to avoid any mishap the following morning. The grass was spread on the damp patches of the pitch, and India captain Rohit Sharma inspected the surface.

Weather Advisories For Bengaluru

Most parts of Bengaluru are still under Orange Alert, and more rainfall is likely throughout the day. All schools have been shut, and even office workers have been asked to work from home as a precaution.
