IND vs NZ, 2nd Test: Washington Sundar took the Indians off the field in a spectacular show in Pune, which would certainly confirm that he is going to be an essential element of this team.
There was much debate over his inclusion during the day, but he certainly marked his presence here, taking first-class figures of 7/59. This is an excellent show of drift and dip, as he enjoyed bowling on a pitch offering substantial turn.

Match Turning Point
At one point, New Zealand seemed on course, with fifties from Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra. They were on 199/3 when Washington was introduced for a few overs before tea. And then that game-changing over from him with one delivery that just swung back the momentum against New Zealand in favor of India.

Milestones Of Washington Sundar
This is Washington Sundar’s first five-wicket haul in Test cricket. At the same time, it is also his first five-wicket haul in any form of first-class cricket since August 2022. His feat is outstanding in that fact that it has been the first five-wicket haul in first-class cricket on Indian soil since October 2017.
