New Delhi: Andrew Balbirnie orchestrated a solitary comeback as Ireland were bowled out for 186 against India in the second T20I. The opener scored 72 (51) off bowling Arshdeep Singh in the 16th over as a set Ireland is seven less than now but there is no shortage of limits.
Earlier, Ruturaj Gaikwad led the Indian attack with the bat as the Men In Blue made a tough 185/5 after Ireland’s call to bat in the second T20I. Gaikwad scored 58 (43) before coming to Barry McCarthy. He also stitched a crucial 71-run stand with Sanju Samson after India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal (18 off 11 balls), Tilak Varma (1 off 2 balls). Benjamin White bagged 40 (26) for Sanju Samson. Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube also contributed explosive cameos towards the end as 42 runs were scored in the last two overs. Rinku scored 38 (21), while Dube returned unbeaten with 22 (16).
