IND vs ENG: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced that Nitish Reddy is ruled out of India’s squad for the ongoing T20I series against England. Reddy suffered a side strain injury during a practice session in Chennai on Friday and will travel to the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for further treatment.
Meanwhile, with Rinku Singh suffering an injury to the lower back after fielding during the first T20I and being ruled out of the subsequent two T20Is in this five-match series, his recovery is under close observation of the BCCI medical team. The selectors added all-rounders Shivam Dube and Ramandeep Singh to the list for the remainder of the series.
Ramandeep was part of India’s recent T20I assignment in South Africa, while Dube returns to the squad after recovering from a back injury that kept him out of the Bangladesh series in August 2024. He has since played domestic cricket for Mumbai. India currently leads the series 1-0.
